Immersion
Recently moved from Sydney's Studios 301 to it’s Canberra home in Darling Street Studios, Immersion is one to watch for high production live music performances. The idea being that the bands and artists record and film it all live in the studio, giving it a beautiful organic quality and allows the artists to play around with their arrangements and put out new versions of their tracks. Guest interviews offer a great insight into how the live songs were put together and the thinking behind the music. Favourites are Sputnik Sweetheart performance and a cracking Lucy Sugarman interview.

Canberra indie-pop duo Miroji chat to guests in person and over zoom including Thirsty Merc front man Rai Thislethwayte, Ocean Alley’s Mitch Galbraith and Josh Cunningham from The Waifs. If you’re interested in finding out what it takes to have a career in music this one's for you. The hosting duo clearing have a huge passion for music and are always looking to learn from their guests. The episode with Kirklandd is a great introduction to Miroji Mix.
Coburg Up Late
This one is more of an experience than a podcast, part talk show, part DJ set. Coburg Up Late is an exciting format from Melbourne but hosted by former Canberran @djbekindtootherpeople. This show has nailed the elusive club vibes and energy that is so hard to recreate in an online stream environment. DJ sets are especially tricky to present online but Coburg Up Late seamlessly weaves in an interview narrative that is gripping and hilarious giving it that watchability that live online performances often lack.
Highlights include Callum licking Honeysmack’s head, Mike Toner on his charity work and Canberra’s very own Doppel’s episode. Can find them on IGTV.
